The guide to the VCSE sector session will teach health professionals about Bristol’s diverse community organisations, charities, community groups and social enterprises.

What is this course about?         

The guide to the VCSE sector session will teach health professionals about Bristol’s diverse community organisations, charities, community groups and social enterprises. The session will study a range of community organisations, and provide a discussion space for health professionals to explore new ways of working with community organisations. 

Who is the course for?

GP’s and health professionals working in the community, and those involved in setting up the Integrated Care System.

What will you learn?

You will be able to:

•    Gain a greater understanding of the VCSE sector by analysing a selection of organisations that work within it
•    Interpret the key VCSE terms and jargon used within the sector
•    Examine and explore a range of case studies from organisations already collaborating with the NHS on health and wellbeing
•    Dicuss and share learning/ideas with your peers

Why is this relevant or important now?               

As the Integrated Care System is forming, effective working relationships between health professionals and community organisations are fundamental to population health.

What else do you need to know?

This course is scheduled to run online, to take part, you will need a laptop with a camera, microphone, and Wi-Fi. You won't need any other software. 

You will be emailed an invitation with a link to join the online training before the course.
