Lucy Hawthorne is a facilitator, coach and a campaigner at heart, with fifteen years’ experience of working with charities and NGOs in campaigning and community development across a wide range of issues.

As a campaigner, she brings varied experiences of influencing local and government policy, helping build collaboration between organisations and developing the skills of activists and communities to lead on their own initiatives. Recently she was involved in the campaign to stop fracking, leading the PRCA nominated ‘Voluntary Sector Campaign of the Year 2020’ that contributed to a government U-turn. Prior to this, she has campaigned on a host of different issues, from pushing for better affordable housing in rural areas, to voter registration, to youth employment, to refugee rights.

As a facilitator and coach, she works with community groups, charities and social enterprises to help them develop their social impact while making sure they are financially sustainable.

Lucy works with all kinds of social justice organisations, in particular smaller and volunteer-led groups and those working on LGBT+ and environmental issues.
