Learning from each other: online peer networks

Voscur has launched two online peer networks for local people in the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE sector), helping them share ideas and insight, look for solutions to problems, and connect with others in an informal setting.

Whether you’re part of a COVID-19 mutual aid group, a community organisation, a charity or a social enterprise, you may find one of these peer networks useful as a way to stay up-to-date and connected during the coronavirus pandemic, especially as we move into a second lockdown.

The Peer Support Network: For managers

Managers of VCSE organisations have faced serious challenges since the pandemic hit the UK, so this informal, facilitated group gives a virtual space to let off steam and share what you’ve learned.

Upcoming sessions to book now:
Wednesday 4 November, 1pm – 2:30pm (click here to book).
Wednesday 18 November, 1pm – 2:30pm (click here to book).
Wednesday 2 December, 1pm – 2:30pm (click here to book).
Wednesday 16 December, 1pm – 2:30pm (click here to book).

The Problem-Solving Network: For COVID-19 response groups

Since the start of the pandemic, we’ve seen some fantastic community work in Bristol and the South West, but the task of looking after our neighbourhoods is far from over. Whether you’re a volunteer, a trustee or a staff member of a community group helping with the COVID-19 response, you can use this network to get to know others in the area and help solve problems together.

Upcoming sessions to book now:
Tuesday 3 November, 1pm – 2:30pm (click here to book).
Tuesday 17 November, 1pm – 2:30pm (click here to book).
Tuesday 15 December, 1pm – 2:30pm (click here to book).

Each network meets roughly every two weeks for a free and informal session. To take part, you will need a laptop, tablet or smartphone with a camera and Wi-Fi access.

You need to book each session in advance (you do not have to attend every session – this is just to help us manage the number of attendees). Dates will be posted on the Voscur events calendar.
