Being an Even Better Board Member
Looking at the range of responsibilities Board Members have in an organisation and building on the Being a Good Board member session, this course focusses beyond legal obligations and into best practice. Topics include resolving conflicts and working strategically.
What is this course about?This course is about how to extend your skills and knowledge to work more effectively and to lead the delivery of best practice across your organisation
What will you learn?1. Review the roles and responsibilities of board members 2. Analyse the strategic role of the board and areas and arguments for going beyond legal obligation 3. identify areas for improvement 4. Identify ways to find solutions and overcome conflict and blocks to development
Who is the course for?Trustees - who have attended our first Being a Good Board Member course or have gained experience.already as a trustee.

What else do you need to know?The type of constitution your organisation has and its legal identity e.g. Ltd company, Trust, CIC. We hope to run this course as a face-to-face course, which would take place at a central Bristol location and follow up to date government social distancing guidelines. Lunch is not provided. Voscur will be monitoring the situation with COVID-19 and you will be notified if this course needs to be moved online. We would make this decision in line with local and national health advice, and to safeguard the health of our attendees and staff. If the course runs online, to take part, you will need a laptop with a camera, microphone, and Wi-Fi. You won't need any other software. You will be emailed either the venue details or an invitation with a link to join the online training the day before the course.
