Date: Wednesday 21 July, 2021 - 14:00 to 16:00

In what has been another year when our city has continued to show its resilience and togetherness, we are delighted to invite you to Bristol’s 2nd Race Equality Gathering to be held on Wednesday 21st July 2021 – 2pm to 4pm via Zoom ( further information to be shared with all attendees registered through Eventbrite nearer the event).

This Gathering will be Chaired by Deputy Mayor Asher Craig and we will also be joined by the Mayor of Bristol, Marvin Rees.

The event will again bring together race equality partners, groups and stakeholders from all sectors across the city to share key updates, discuss common challenges and look at opportunities for collaborative working. In addition attendees will also receive updates on emerging initiatives (including Race & the City 2), as well as updates on Bristol’s economy and how delegates and city organisations can play their part in helping the city to build back better.

To ensure you secure a place at the Gathering please register your attendance at the earliest opportunity by visiting our Eventbrite page by clicking here.

This event has been scheduled as an agreed action from city partners following the first Race Equality Gathering held back in November 2020 which was the first of its kind to be held in Bristol on a city-wide level. Our many city partners have expressed a desire to deliver these Gatherings to ensure we create opportunities to connect the city on tackling race inequality across all sectors by providing a platform for Bristol’s race equality groups to share and learn more about the city’s range of work streams and to further develop awareness to enable future collaboration across our groups and networks in tackling race inequality.

Should you have any queries relating to the event please e-mail Andrew.Mallin@bristol.gov.uk

Meeting agenda and papers will be sent to all individuals registered for the event through Eventrbite in the weeks leading up to the Gathering so please ensure you confirm your place through the ‘Register’ box at the top right of the Eventbrite page (via the above link).

We are sure this will be another great event to further develop the positive relationships and collaborative partnership across our city,

Many thanks and best wishes,
Asher and Mike
