Care and the Community

A workshop to reflect on new approaches to delivering Adult Social Care in Bristol

Level: Intermediate
Date: Tuesday 7 December, 2021 - 14:00 to 17:00

Adult Social Care is experiencing an unprecedented crisis. The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and the challenges of spiraling population care needs, diminishing budget and workforce instability have made the problem almost intractable.

We believe the VCSE sector can play a vital role in revitalizing the care sector by moving resources into early intervention and offering quality outcomes for the service users. During the pandemic, many community organisations have proven the sector’s importance and contribution to the challenges faced by the care system.

Locality, in association with Voscur, Black South West Network and Bristol City Council (Adult Social Care) have pleasure in inviting you to participate in an online workshop to reflect on  two recent pioneering initiatives led by the Council’s Adult Social Care team (Make it Local and Make it Work). We also and offer the opportunity for VCSE colleagues and adult social care practitioners to consider new approaches to the delivery of effective people-centered and equitable Adult Social Care services across the city which are.

The free workshop is open to all interested parties including VCSE colleagues already working in social care, those seeking to enter the market as well as specialist public sector adult social care and commissioning and procurement specialists.
