Introduction to Social Investment

What is this session about?

What is social investment and where does it sit alongside, grants, donations and other sources of funding? In this interactive presentation we’ll explore real life examples of social investment in action and unpick some of the common myths around its use.  

We’re pleased to be joined by experts from Good Finance and Bristol and Bath Regional Capital. We will also have the chance to hear from investees in the West of England region, and learn more about their experiences of recieving social investment for their organisation. 

This program is part of Social Economy West - a West of England Combined Authority initiative, delivered in partnership with Business West and expert partners to support the social economy across the region. What else do you need to know?

This course is set to run online using Zoom. To take part, you will need a laptop with a camera, microphone, and Wi-Fi. You will not require any additional software, and you don't need a Zoom account or to download the app to take part, but you may wish to do so.
